Welcome to a space where resilience meets healing. I am a dedicated and compassionate registered social worker, and I am honoured to specialize in providing support and guidance to first responders and frontline workers, and their families. Your well-being is my priority, and I am here to help you navigate the unique challenges you face in all aspects of your life.
With over 17 years in the helping field, I have had the privilege of working closely with individuals who dedicate their lives to protecting and caring for others. I am a registered social worker with the OCSWSSW. My journey into specializing in first responders and frontline workers began when I recognized the need for tailored mental health support for those who serve our communities in high-stress environments.
I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, where we address not only the immediate concerns but also the long-term well-being of my clients. I strive to practice from the lens of what has happened to you, rather than what is wrong with you. My approach to therapy is through the mind, body connection. What is known and what research supports is that oftentimes our trauma can be stored in the cognitive, but also within the body, which can manifest in a myriad of ways. I seek to integrate the brain and body to support healing. I work with the mind to target the areas of the brain that store our trauma experiences and regulate and re-frame, as well as engage the body in discharging of energy.
First responders and frontline workers face exceptional challenges, from critical incidents and constant exposure to trauma to demanding schedules and potential burnout. I attempt to understand the demands of the profession and the toll it can take on mental health. My goal is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly discuss your experiences, thoughts, and emotions.
I strive to find a balance between work and personal life, so when I am not sitting in the clinical chair you can catch me hitting the pavement running, riding my road bike, vibing to a solid playlist while doing yoga, and hanging out with my two beautiful children.
